Many of these denim fashion brands consider the garments as disposable items, not as clothes that can last for years if they are worn properly. These denim brands are the ones that practice fast fashion, a two-sided textile business model:

The "good" side is the lower production costs and therefore cheaper prices for the end user, and the bad side is the huge environmental and social impact caused by these denim brands, which have turned the textile sector into one of the most polluting in the world.

And we all know the consequences that the pollution of the planet is already having, and the consequences that our children and grandchildren could suffer?

So we ask ourselves, does the planet really have to pay for those denim brands that produce cheap, poor quality denim and, in many cases, on the basis of labour exploitation in remote countries?

At Bustins Jeans we believe that this is not the way forward for denim fashion.

We believe that a radically different approach to textiles is possible (and necessary).

We believe it is possible to offer denim fashion that is more sustainable and of higher quality than that of the big brands.

Yes, let's be honest: the local production, the quality materials and the craftsmanship of the garments make their final price a little higher than that of other denim brands.

But in exchange for a higher price, we are able to offer denim fashion that respects threefold: the employees, the product and, of course, the only planet we have.

This philosophy, that of slow fashion, has been the essence of our denim fashion brand for more than fifty years. It is reflected in our production times, in the timelessness and size of our denim catalogue, and in the unique quality of our women's denim and men's denim, handcrafted on the Costa Brava.

Other denim brands want to have more, at Bustins Jeans we want to do better. They make mass-produced products that will quickly end up in the trash, we make pieces with our own hands that will last for years.
